Responsible Investing was founded by Wall Street veteran Mary Ellen McCarthy, a seasoned investor with 20 years of experience. In 2002 Mary Ellen retired and returned (after three generations of New York exile) to her paternal ancestral New England home to root for the Boston Red Sox. Hey, talk about good timing! Then a group of new friends (many burned in the dot.com crash) asked her to teach them how to pick stocks the right way. Thus was born Responsible Investing, an independent financial coaching firm dedicated to teaching individuals—from beginners to old pros—how to manage their own money more effectively.
