This course, for individuals who would like to learn about investing from the ground up, will cover the basics necessary to help you overcome your hesitation about investments. We'll start with the basics of defining money market accounts, certificates of deposit, savings accounts, stocks, bonds, and mutual funds. We'll demystify investment terms and jargon, and you'll learn how to use the financial services industry to your best advantage. We'll also review traditional IRAs, Roth IRAs, and IRA rollovers. Beginners and questions are welcome in this basic and comprehensive course designed to teach you the concepts you need to make safe and sound decisions about your investments. A $20 materials fee for a course material packet is payable to the instructor at the first meeting.
